The eduroam (Education Roaming) project is intended to provide a secure wireless network for Higher Education centers around the world. Every employee, candidate for doctor’s degree and student registered with its parent University can gain access to the Internet in the units participating in the project in Europe. This is done without contact with local administrators and configuration changes prepared by the parent entity.

In Poland, the eduroam project is developed in the framework of the PIONIER network and coordinated by the University Centre for Information Technology, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun. Regional operator in the Tricity is Academic Computer Centre in Gdansk – TASK.

  • Network id (SSID): eduroam
  • Authentication: WPA2 (Enterprise)
